Our fall 2009 titles are featured: Regreen: New Canadian Ecological Poetry, edited by Madhur Anand and Adam Dickinson, and Anishnaabe World: A (Survival) Gudie for Building Bridges between Canada and First Nations, by Roger Spielmann, who is there to sign copies.
- September 16, 12:00 noon, Roger Spielmann launches Anishnaabe World: A (Survival) Guide for Building Bridges between Canada and First Nations in room 170 of the University of Sudbury on the Laurentian University campus, in Sudbury. Dr. Zundel, new President of U of S, introduces Roger, who reads from the book and signs copies. A light lunch is served.
- September 12, Saturday, 1:30 to 5:30pm, a group of Simcoe County YSP authors, plus friends, are reading in the authors' tent at the Orillia Village of the Arts Festival, St. Andrew Street, Orillia. YSP author Ric deMeulles is featured, reading from Ramasseur. He joins a lot of northeastern Ontario writers, including Lynn Johnston, as well as invited guest-writers from away like Mel Bradshaw. Bruce will read from Mesopotamia, and conduct a workshop on short story writing. Laurence will person the YSP sales booth, and speak about northern Ontario publishing.

- July 22-24, Friday evening to Sunday noon, in Callander Ontario, near North Bay: Books by the Bay--A Northern Festival to Celebrate Canadian Authors. A lot of northeastern Ontario writers are involved, as well as invited guest-writers from away. Dan Lessard of CBC Sudbury is the Master of Ceremonies for the weekend, and a number of Your Scrivener Press authors from the Outcrops and Bluffs anthologies are involved. - Canada Book Day, on April 23rd, is our national celebration of World Book and Copyright Day, a UNESCO sponsored event celebrated around the world. For details on the legendary origin in Catalonia Spain, click here. Black Cat Too! on Durham Street in Sudbury has dedicated four shelves to YSP. Come in and browse. Each of the first 12 YSP books sold on April 23rd comes with a complimentary long-stemmed rose in honour of Canada Book Day.

- April 8th, 8:00 p.m., Espanola Ski Hill: Charlie Smith reads from his poetry and fiction and Jeff Wiseman plays and sings. $15.00 admission. Entering Espanola from the north on Highway 6, turn right on the Queensway (at the Queensway Motel), then left on Mead. Proceed about 1/2 a km to the Ski Hill. Plenty of parking available.
